Small real estate law firm focused on homeowner associations.
Responsibilities include:
Organized
Verification of intake information
Drafting correspondence
Providing status reports to clients and follow-up communication
Legal research and drafting court pleadings
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, pride in their work product, a sense of urgency and importance concerning their activities, and enjoy working in a small office where accomplishments are noticed and appreciated.
Must pass background check.
Type 45+ WPM and possess grammar/writing skills
Investigate and gather the facts of a case
Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles
Organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
Gather and arrange evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
Get affidavits and other formal statements that may be used as evidence in court
Help lawyers during trials by handling exhibits, taking notes, or reviewing trial transcripts
File exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel
Call clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions
The ideal candidate must have a positive attitude, take accountability for their mistakes, communicate any issues, ask questions if unsure, learn the current process.
This person should be able to start work Monday through Friday.
Hours of work 9am to 6pm
Lunch 12pm to 1pm
